WORLD DAY FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK 2021
The annual World Day for Health and Safety promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally.
Observed by the International Labour Organization (ILO) since 2003, the day is an opportunity to raise awareness and focus international attention on the magnitude of the problem and on how promoting and creating a safety and health culture can help reduce the number of work-related deaths and injuries.
The theme for this year is; “Anticipate, prepare, respond to crisis and invest now in OHS systems. The theme acknowledges the impact that the global COVID-19 pandemic has had on our working lives.
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work focuses on strategies to strengthen occupational safety and Health (OSH) systems to build resilience in order to face crises now and in the future, drawing on lessons learned and experienced from the world of work.
